7. The Skeleton Crew
In the Marvel Universe, the Skeleton Crew is an organization of operatives who worked for the Red Skull. Led by Crossbones, the group was made up of Mother Night, Machinesmith, the Voice, Minister Blood, Blackwing, Jack OLantern, Cutthroat, and the Sleeper. Although the group was short-lived in the comics, they could easily be adapted for the films. Weve already seen Crossbones in his human guise as Brock Rumlow in Captain America: The Winter Soldier. And both actor Frank Grillo and screenwriter Christopher Markus have said that they do plan on seeing Rumlow become Crossbones in a future film. Why not take it a step further and bring in the entire Skeleton Crew, a group of HYDRA agents who worship the Red Skull? This could also be the perfect time to introduce Sinthea Schmidt, the Red Skulls daughter who later becomes scarred and takes on her fathers identity. Bonus points, shes also a lover of Crossbones. A future Captain America movie could see Sin taking on her fathers legacy and identity, using the Skeleton Crew to bring the Red Skulls ideology into the twenty-first century.
