10 Marvel Superheroes For Phase 4 (And Who Should Play Them)
9. Adam Warlock - Nikolaj Coster-Waldau
Speaking of James Gunn, the writer-directed included an intriguing Easter egg in the post-credits sting that he shot to promote Guardians Of The Galaxy at the end of Thor: The Dark World a big yellow cocoon-esque blob in a glass case. It showed up again in his film. Sat there, doing nothing. Comic book fans were quick to link the cocoon to one character in particular Adam Warlock. Created by human scientists (via a process that involved a cocoon, of course) Adam Warlock was designed to be the perfect artificial human. He went on to become a spacefaring superhero and some-time member of the Guardians. His impressive selection of abilities includes superhuman strength, endurance and agility as well as the powers of flight and energy manipulation. Hes regularly seen battling MCU big bad Thanos, so perhaps hell even pop up in Phase 3 at some stage. Perhaps he could debut in Infinity War to tee up his own movie a couple of years down the line. Nikolaj Coster-Waldau of Game Of Thrones is the ideal candidate for the role. Hes no stranger to the fantastical, has the dashing good looks to convince as such a swashbuckling hero, and enough sternness to encourage audiences to take the character seriously.
