10 Marvel Villains For Phase 4 (And Who Should Play Them)

6. Taskmaster (Andrew Scott)

Taskmaster would be one of the trickier villains to translate to the big screen, but he could be brilliantly intimidating if all the pieces slot into place. He was first created €“ by David Michelinie and George Perez, in 1980 €“ as a villain. Over the years, though, he€™s become something of an antihero. Tony Masters was a S.H.I.E.L.D. agent who developed a superpower known as €˜photographic reflexes€™ during a mission. Essentially, he can perfectly copy any movement that he sees without any practise €“ most notably, he can mimic any hero or villain€™s fighting techniques, making him very tough to beat. The experimental serum that turned Tony into Taskmaster comes with a side effect, though €“ the more he memorises using his power, the more he forgets of his original life. He became a personal trainer to supervillains, and later a cold-hearted mercenary in his own right. He couldn€™t remember that he was secret agent, or a married man. This arc requires an actor who can play a nice guy and a heartless bastard. Who could be better than Sherlock and SPECTRE star Andrew Scott? He could handle the transition from goodie to baddie (and possibly back again) very well in a movie, or in Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D., or on Netflix€ depending on what Marvel want.
