10 MCU Credits Scenes That Haven't Gone Anywhere (Yet)

Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings' tantalising post-credits scene revealed that, rather than dismantle the Ten Rings organisation as she promised, Shang-Chi's (Simu Liu) sister Xialing (Meng'er Zhang) decided to install herself as its new leader and update its values, allowing women to openly train alongside men.

A closing title card even read, "The Ten Rings will return," which seemingly suggested Xialing's leadership of the outfit would be further explored in a sequel.

And while Shang-Chi 2 is in development, it hasn't got a hard release date, and with director Destin Daniel Cretton currently at work on 2025's Avengers: The Kang Dynasty, it seems incredibly unlikely we'll see the Shang-Chi sequel materialise until at least 2027, and that's being optimistic.

Many have suggested that a Disney+ series focused on the Ten Rings could be the right way to go, and it'd certainly help appease fans during the likely long wait for Shang-Chi 2, focusing on the adventures of Xialing and her covert new iteration of the organisation.

But we're getting close to two years removed from Shang-Chi, and we've sadly had little substantial movement on any projects related to these characters, despite prominent rumours that a Ten Rings show is indeed in some stage of development.
