10 MCU End Scenes That Were Scrapped
2. Vision In A Body Bag (Avengers: Endgame)
By the time Avengers: Endgame rolled around, we'd all grown accustomed to our MCU movies having post-credits scenes at the end, so it was quite a surprise to discover that Endgame didn't have a single one. No teases, no tags, nothing.
But this doesn't mean that Marvel Studios didn't at least consider adding a tag, and in fact, they did consider adding a tag, one that would've revolved around the fate of Paul Bettany's Vision, who died at the end of Avengers: Infinity War.
In a recent interview with IMDB, Bettany explains that this tag would've shown Wanda opening a "body bag drawer", and seeing Vision lying inside it. This would've effectively been a lead-in to WandaVision, however, Marvel Studios chief Kevin Feige then decided to scrap the scene altogether, much to Bettany's dismay.
Bettany doesn't specify which movie this tag would've been in, but it surely has to be Endgame, some time after Wanda returns from the snap.
So why did Feige nix this scene? Bettany doesn't say, but all things considered, it was definitely the right decision to leave Endgame without a tag (the movie's primary purpose was to conclude the Infinity Saga, after all) rather than teasing future events.
