10 MCU Movies That Could Fill Marvel Studios' Empty Release Slots

So far in the MCU there aren't many mo that have either not received a sequel, or don’t have one currently in production. The boat may have sailed on the Incredible Hulk franchise, thanks to the rights of the character, however there is still potential for a Black Widow sequel.

Granted, this may seem a stretch, since Natasha Romanoff perished in Avengers: Endgame, however this certainly doesn’t kill the franchise. Captain America is continuing with a different character at the helm, and Florence Pugh’s Yelena certainly has the star power, the charisma, and the popularity to headline any further Black Widow movies.

Director Cate Shortland has already hinted that this could happen further down the line, and the torch passing from Natasha to Yelena would arguably be the best thing for the character, and the best thing to come out of Black Widow as a movie.

Though this was supposed to be the swan song of Scarlett Johansson’s Natasha, she was outshined by Pugh, who left fans eager to see more of her. The character is already confirmed to be appearing in Hawkeye before the year is out, but there is absolutely room in the MCU for Yelena to lead her own franchise.
