It's barmy to believe there was once a moment in time when Marvel Studios were fully committed to ushering in another volume of the Guardians of the Galaxy epic without James Gunn at the helm. Thankfully, that reality didn't come to pass in our universe and Gunn is still able to cherish and nurture his beloved bunch of misfits as they embark on their next chapter in vol. 3.
