5. What Happened To Red Skull After Endgame?
For the longest time, along with wondering where the aforementioned Leader had buggered off to after popping up in Phase One, another disappearing villain's name was on just about every MCU fans lips.
That all changed after the events of Infinity War as Captain America's arch-enemy Red Skull finally made his dastardly comeback on Vormir, where it was revealed that his Space Stone journey had left him with nothing more than the role of Soul Stone babysitter.
But as the orange glowing rock was ultimately given a new owner on two separate occasions over the course of both Infinity War and Endgame, it was later confirmed by the Russo brothers that Red Skull would've actually been free to do whatever the hell he wanted following on from that burden being lifted.
Hilariously, when asked what would've happened when Cap eventually went back in time to drop the stones back off in their rightful destinations, the directors were quick to quip in a Reddit AMA:
“It was probably more awkward than you imagine it was. Red Skull felt slated because Cap didn’t recognise him.”
We'd still pay good money to watch that unlikely reunion, mind.
