8. Osborn Butler Spider-Man 3
The butler to the Osborns seemed like quite a nice chap, all friendly and benign. But really, hes responsible for quite a lot of the damage in this film, including the eventual death of his employer. How so? Well, the man refused to point out the bleeding obvious to Harry even when he sets down a super-destructive path of a super serum-aided vendetta against Spider-Man. At any after the first film, the man couldve told Harry about his fathers homicidal tendencies and the fact it was a glider to the groin that killed him. But instead, he just keeps quiet, facilitating Harrys slow descent into madness in the second movie. He even keeps quiet when he gets his hands on his fathers clutch of super-weapons, surely as good a time as any to step in and admit the freaking truth. If hed have told Harry about the glider wound earlier in the film, he mightve been able to help Peter kill the Sandman/Venom alliance in its crib, rather than letting it evolve to block-trashing, Mary Jane-endangering levels. And I suppose this is only speculation, but if they both took on Venom, Im willing to guess Harry wouldnt have gone the way of his father, and the butler wouldnt have been out of a job for the rest of his life. After all, I dont think anyones going to hire a man who borked his duty of care obligation towards his employers this badly.
