5. Yelena's Love Of Hot Sauce
There have been some truly incredible duos introduced throughout the MCU. Tony Stark and Steve Rogers, Rocket and Groot, and even Sam Wilson and Bucky Barnes turned some heads in 2021. However, arguably the greatest one-two punch introduced so far in Phase Four has been Kate Bishop and Yelena Belova.
Yelena was easily the best part of Black Widow, and after four episodes of Kate Bishop easily being the best part of Hawkeye, they were brought together. All that had to happen was to sit Florence Pugh opposite Hailee Steinfeld and just watch the magic happen.
The two had immense chemistry, which is evident every single time they share the screen, and while debating the details of Clint Barton’s imminent assassination they had this weird, frenemy kind of vibe going on.
While chatting, Kate threw a bottle of hot sauce at Yelena, who simply added it to the pot of mac and cheese she was cooking. As directors Bert and Bertie told THR, this came at Pugh’s suggestion, who herself loves hot sauce and had absolutely no problem eating it take after take after take. So the actor is obsessed with hot sauce, and now so is the character.
