2. Beefy Fish Monster - Sweetheart
Who doesn't love a good fish monster?
J.D. Dillard's Sweetheart has a simple premise. A woman washes up on a deserted island only to find that if she wants to get off alive she'll have to survive against a massively muscular fish monster. Seriously, this thing looks like it has never missed a day at the gym.
There have been many fish monsters in the history of horror cinema going all the way to The Creature From The Black Lagoon up until the recent Academy Award winning The Shape Of Water. But, very few, if any, have been as terrifying as this one here.
As the viewer, we think we know what to expect when it comes to the appearance of the creature. One good look at it though will pull the rug right out from under you, as nothing you can conceive in your mind could possibly capture its beastly beauty.
Now, calling it a beautiful might seem a bit strange considering everything about it. However, its design is so well done that it's almost majestic to watch in action. It is a genuine sight to behold.
