10 MORE Horror Movies That Go Totally Insane At The End

You can never unsee the ending of Immaculate.

There are many different ways to end a horror story. You can end things with an ominous cliffhanger, you can hint at a sequel, you can wrap things up neatly, you can crush the audience's collective soul with a tragic downer... or you can go completely and utterly bats**t insane. There's that option as well, and believe it or not, it's not a bad idea at all.

In a genre with so many tropes and traditions, breaking the mould is never a bad thing; besides, a crazy ending is often just really entertaining. It was certainly a good thing in the following ten movies, which all had wacky conclusions that swung for the rafters like nobody's business.

Not all of these flicks were good overall, but all of them were enriched and made considerably more memorable by all those WTF, out-there conclusions. Come to think of it, some of these movies would've been forgotten long ago had they not ended on such a demented note. After all, you don't always remember a story, but you nearly always remember how it ends.

Kicking off with a recent, unexpectedly great horror sequel...

10. Ready Or Not 2: Here I Come

Ready or Not 2: Here I Come was a surprisingly awesome sequel that took a while to emerge, but was worth the wait in the end. Alongside another gripping death game and the effective double-act of Samara Weaving and Kathryn Newton, it features an even crazier ending than that of the first film - that's really saying something!

In this sequel, a new game has begun. As one of the devil-worshipping elite families died at the end of the previous picture, the remaining families in this cult have to kill survivor Grace (Samara Weaving) before dawn. Whoever kills her gets the high seat and unlimited power over the entire world.

Eventually, Grace uses a loophole she has discovered to escape the game. She agrees to marry Titus (Shawn Hatosy), one of the elites, and this will grant his family the high seat. The first movie began with a wedding, and this sequel ends with a very different kind of wedding, one that rivals Game of Thrones' Red Wedding in its glorious effed-up-ness.

At the ceremony, held before a big crowd of devil-worshippers, Grace kills Titus before completing the marriage and immediately resigns the high seat. She throws the ring that grants her this power into a pit of sacrificed victims, and leaves all of the elites to fight over it. Moments later, dawn breaks, and since no-one is wearing the ring, all of the devil-worshippers explode in a shower of gore.

Sheer madness, and we are so here for it.
