Levan Gabriadze's screenlife horror Unfriended opens with high school friends catching up through Skype. Soon after, their online chat is infiltrated by the spirit of their classmate, Laura Barns, who shot herself dead when a humiliating video of herself went viral.

Blaming each member of the chat for her downward spiral, Laura urges the callers to expose their deep, dark secrets. When they refuse, she starts possessing them, forcing them to kill themselves.

It becomes clear over time that each of the so-called friends is irredeemably immoral, save for Blaire. Blaire is no angel, but she's the only person who tries to make amends with Laura. Or so it seems.

By the end of Unfriended, Laura has compelled everyone in the group chat to off themselves, save for Blaire. In the final moments, the vengeful spirit reveals through social media that Blaire was the one who uploaded the video that incentivised Laura to take her own life. Blaire only has seconds to acknowledge her wrongdoings before Laura slaughters her.

Even though Blaire's entourage seemed like dirt bags early on, Laura's killing spree looked a tad extreme. But once it's revealed just how depraved each person was, Laura's actions seem pretty justified.
