5. Brandon - M3GAN
In Gerard Johnstone's horror-comedy, young Cady is left orphaned, causing her to develop an emotional attachment to her aunt's robot, M3GAN.
Although M3GAN is designed to protect its host, the sassy android goes haywire, causing her to murder anyone who threatens Cady's safety. Each of M3GAN's victims may be brash or arrogant, but none of them deserved to die.
Except Brandon.
While Cady is wandering in the woods, this aggressive teen comes out of nowhere and steals a devil's club plant she's about to pick up. Brandon then forces her to squeeze the spiky plant, which cuts into her hand.
Why does he do this to the poor girl who just lost her parents? Because he's a jerk. That's the entire reason.
When Brandon sees M3GAN, he begins flicking her face and attempts to steal her. (He also takes off one of her shoes. No idea why.) Even though M3GAN is a murderous AI, she shows remarkable restraint up until this point.
But when Brandon slaps M3GAN, that's when this vengeful killbot has had enough. M3GAN grabs Brandon, tears off his ear, and chases him onto the road, where he's fatally struck by a car.
Brandon only had himself to blame, since he'd still be alive if he left Cady alone or didn't antagonise M3GAN.
