10 More Movies Where The Reshoots Were Painfully Obvious

When your lead actress has gorgeous, flowing blonde locks like Top Gun's Kelly McGillis, eyebrows are always going to be raised when that hair is suddenly covered up by a hat.

And any suspicions audiences might've had were certainly correct, as the elevator scene between her Charlie Blackwood and Tom Cruise's Maverick was a reshoot, shot long after McGillis had grown her hair out and coloured it brown for another movie (believed to be 1987's Made In Heaven).

Honestly, the hat doesn't even really cover it up. Like, at all.

But that's not the only scene affected - in slightly less obvious fashion, the film's memorable sex scene between the two characters was another reshoot, added late in production after test audiences reportedly found the film "too gay."

The scene was famously shot in silhouette, though this was less an immediate artistic choice than simply another means to obscure McGillis' hair. It certainly worked in the moment, at least.
