10 More Sequels That Totally Ruined The Previous Movie's Ending
7. Nobody Wants Woody - Toy Story 4
15 years after the series began, Toy Story rounded off the story of Woody, Buzz, and the rest of the gang in dramatic style, with Andy passing his beloved playthings down to a new owner before heading off to college.
People laughed, people cried, and then people got real mad when it was announced that a fourth one was coming out.
Toy Story 4, which released in 2019, was not a bad film by any stretch, but it definitely rubbed a lot of people the wrong way. The third film had such a perfect ending that nobody wanted to see it ruined, but sadly, that’s exactly what happened.
Woody goes from being optimistic about his new life with Bonnie to being neglected once again, only this time in favour of a talking spork. Watching this, viewers were reminded of the same sense of despair that hung over the first half of the previous movie, which is not what they wanted from their Pixar joint.
Ah well, at least it’s over now. Wait... what’s that? There’s a Toy Story 5 coming in 2026?
Oh boy. Here we go again.
