10 Most Disappointing Harry Potter Movie Moments

5. Harry And Ginny Get Together – The Half-Blood Prince

Harry and Ginny’s on-screen relationship simply doesn’t work, and it’s a shame because Daniel Radcliffe and Bonnie Wright have plenty of talent.

Their first kiss is preceded by a series of badly-written, awkward interactions that – more than anything else – are simply dull to watch. As a result, the moment the pair of them get together doesn’t have any sense of satisfaction.

In fairness to the filmmakers, they didn’t really have the option to copy the book version of this romantic build-up because most of it happens through Harry’s internal monologue. But they still could have teased their future relationship without resorting to on-the-nose scenarios which lack any form of authenticity.

What’s more, Ron’s presence during Harry and Ginny’s first kiss adds yet another interesting – and somewhat amusing – dynamic that’s also missing from the movie adaptation.
