Coming as an almost blink and you'll miss it gesture from Dr Strange in the middle of Endgame's big battle, there's one solemn moment that gets hearts pumping like no other. Seeded back in Infinity War, we were told that the result of Strange's unusual decision making in giving over his infinity stone had some greater purpose - that there was only one timeline that resulted in a win for the Avengers, and presumably by seemingly dooming them all at the end of that film, the threads would come together in Endgame to make that slim change of success a reality.

As Captain Marvel takes a knock back from Thanos, who's attempting click number 3 of the franchise to kill life as we know it, Tony Stark is left as the closest Avenger able to take on the mad titan.
