10 Most Emotional Moments From Star Wars: The Force Awakens

9. Rey€™s Selflessness

Poor Rey. From the moment we€™re introduced to her, we see that she€™s struggling to live from day-to-day and can barely manage to feed herself. After being seen managing to obtain minimal, minimal meals, all of a sudden she is offered the equivalent of a small fortune in food on one condition: she has to give up the BB-8 droid. She'd obviously turn down the offer, even though she knew this would make her a marked woman, but this wouldn't be the last time we'd see Rey's selflessness in action. Even later on in the film, with Rey reluctant to accept her fate as somebody who is sensitive to the Force and came make a difference in the world. When there's the chance to take the easy way out of a situation, at several times we see Rey opting to take the hard route that for the greater good and simply to do what is right and necessary. It was during these moments that you realise that Rey's a character of merit and integrity, and it brought back that warm hue that the heroes of previous films emoted.
