It takes a special kind of evil to sit atop this list after the nine deplorable characters that preceded it, but if there is one character deserving of such a title, it is Ego. The celestial, and father of Peter Quill, was evil incarnate.

Believing himself to be simply without equal throughout the universe, Ego came up with his Expansion plan. This would have resulted in his assimilation of the entire known and unknown universe, leaving him as the one and only being in existence. Every other living thing would have been killed.

To do this, he needed the help of one more celestial, and so he began to produce offspring across the galaxy with this sole purpose in mind. He later sought out these children, and the ones that didn’t carry the light that could help, he simply murdered and threw in a ditch. His own children!

Then there is what he did to Meredith Quill, the woman he supposedly loved. So sure was he that making himself the only being in the entire universe was the way to go, he put a tumour in the head of his partner. If she wasn’t on Earth, he wouldn’t be tempted to stay there and be happy with her. Cancer was apparently the best option, so he could go about murdering immeasurable trillions instead of just being happy with Meredith.
