10 Most Insane Star Wars Fan Theories

This one here goes waaaay back. Back in the original film from 1977, Obi-Wan/Ben Kenobi has the famous conversation with Luke Skywalker in his humble homestead about a number of things including his father, the force, lightsabers and something called The Clone Wars.

Before Dave Filoni and his team brought us the animated series following characters like Ahsoka and the rest of the gang, The Clone Wars was a mysterious period name-dropped by Kenobi who apparently fought in them alongside Anakin Skywalker.

This theory stems from the fact that Obi-Wan Kenobi could be spelt as 'Obi-1 Kenobi' suggesting that he himself was a clone from this mysterious Clone War. Perhaps fans were expecting a Vader-level twist in the sequel where it is revealed Kenobi was a clone all along, but alas this was of course bonkers. It is nice to reflect though and imagine that even in 1977, fans had their own wild theories.
