10 Most Intense Thrillers From The Last Decade
4. Inception
Christopher Nolan's career might be full of big budget, high-grossing blockbusters, but unlike some of his peers he never allows the plot to suffer or be dumbed down at any point. This is part of the reason why so many people love his films. A perfect example of this - and maybe Nolan's finest piece of work - is his mind-bending heist epic, Inception.
If you haven't already seen Inception, then please remove yourself from the rock you've been hiding under for the last nine years and treat yourself to this spectacle. Watching Leonardo DiCaprio and co. globetrotting around the world before taking a trip into their target's dreams is one of the more fascinating pieces of cinema you're likely to ever see.
While Inception could've easily been just a run of the mill action movie if put into the wrong hands (we're looking at you Michael Bay!), Nolan is able to carefully balance the fire fights and explosions with an extremely personal story about redemption. His ability to juxtapose the insane action sequences with more intimate moments makes this a standout psychological thriller.
