6. Ultron Pretends He's A God, When He's Actually Another Comedian
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tmeOjFno6Do The Film: Avengers: Age Of Ultron What It Promised: A brooding, uncertain second instalment for "Earth's Mightiest Heroes". What It Actually Was: Cast your mind back to the best part of a year ago when Marvel Studios first dropped the trailer for Joss Whedon's ridiculously expansive superhero sequel Avengers: Age Of Ultron. You like lost your mind, and rightly so. Gone was the kooky tone so brilliantly projected in Guardians Of The Galaxy, instead presenting an overbearing sense of menace. The avengers looking desperate, outnumbered and massively inferior. Then recall the movie you actually watched... For starters, not even an ounce of the tension mounted in this trailer made it into the final cut; it's actually more off-the-wall than its predecessor, but worse than that was the realisation that Ultron was not the demonically brilliant antagonist you thought and hoped for, rather another comedian. Bearing in mind Kevin Feige and Marvel Studios could sell any of their pictures with as little or much purpose as they please without even SLIGHTLY jeopardising box-office performance, it is both cruel and manipulative to trick their long-serving fans this way.
