10 Most Overrated Horror Films Of The Past 20 Years
6. Let The Right One In
What The Critics Said: “Stick your neck out for this Swedish horror show. It’s a winner, full of mirth and malice, plus a young romance you’ll never see on the Disney Channel.” (Rolling Stone)
Why They’re Wrong: Because of its po-faced presentation, this very silly film - your typical story of a bullied 12-year-old boy who falls in love with a 200-year-old vampire (who’s a dab hand at dealing with school bullies) - is just begging for the Rifftrax treatment.
Silliest of all is the end, where – spoiler alert – our young hero runs away with his girlfriend, who he keeps in a box while he boards a train. The final shot shows them communicating with each other by tapping out messages in Morse code. Was this meant to be a comedy?
