It’s odd how primary villains are rarely the most hated characters. In the case of Harry Potter, Dolores Umbridge and Bellatrix Lestrange are easily the most despised of Rowling’s creations.

Bellatrix is a sadistic maniac with an appetite for pain. From the moment she appears in the fifth movie, she’s immediately loathsome. Molly Weasley, on the other hand, is one of the kindest individuals in the entire series. Sure, she can lose her temper when she wants to, but her motherly nature is hard not to love.

Given the contrast between these two characters, those who hadn’t read the books were on the edge of their seat when they came into contact during The Battle of Hogwarts.

Molly, of course, emerges the victor, and it’s great to hit pause when Bellatrix realises what’s about to happen. Better still, she then explodes into tiny pieces which also makes for a nice spectacle.
