10 Most Powerful Sci-Fi Movie Villains

8. T-1000 - Terminator 2: Judgment Day

The Terminator

The T-800 is easily the more iconic of the Terminators, but it is the T-1000 that gets the spot here. An experimental model made by Skynet, the T-1000 is a Terminator made from a liquid metal which allows it to shape shift, absorb attacks, and form its hands into blades and other deadly implements.

Whereas the original Terminator was a killing machine, it still had its weaknesses. On the other side of the coin, the the entirety of Terminator 2: Judgment Day is spent trying to find just one single, solitary weakness for Robert Patrick's T-1000.

In T2, Sarah Connor simply would never have survived it if she didn't have a Terminator of her own to help her battle the T-1000. If there was an army of these models in 2029, perhaps there wouldn't be any humans left to form a resistance at all.

Across all of the Terminator films, the T-1000 feels like the most unstoppable and menacing Terminator in the entire franchise - with no apparent weaknesses and the same silent and determined resolve as all the other models.
