3. Padme Amidala
Padme started her political career at an incredibly young age, being just 14 when she was elected Queen of Naboo for the first time. Despite her youth, Padme still reigned as a strong and compassionate ruler, showing her quality during the invasion of Naboo. She knew there was a time for talking and a time for fighting; when she failed to convince the Republic to act, she took matters into her own hands, returning to Naboo to free it from the Trade Federation herself.
During the Clone Wars, when the Republic was at its most corrupt, she was one of the few senators who still retained their principles, arguing tirelessly for a peaceful settlement to the war as she saw its devastating effect on the galaxy. Despite her peace efforts, Padme was no stranger to fighting, being prepared to go into battle with a blaster in hand when necessary. Even in her final moments, though, her compassion showed through when she unsuccessfully tried to convince Obi Wan there was still some good in Anakin, a belief that would eventually be proven right by Luke Skywalker.
