10 Most Ridiculous Action Movie One-Liners

4. Colonel James Braddock - Missing In Action III

The Line: 'I don't step on toes... I step on necks.'

Having become more of a joke than an action star with the rise of memes, Chuck Norris may seem like an easy target. This may be especially true as I'm focusing on the third film of the cheese powered 'Missing in Action' series. I would disagree with this train of thought however; I think that scriptwriters have a duty to provide the best they can from what little they have. In this case, they most certainly failed. The story follows Colonel James Braddock, portrayed with all the charisma and range Chuck Norris is known for, as he once again goes behind enemy lines to search for his wife and son. He's plays by his own rules by which I mean he murders 99% of the people that appear on screen. It's less story, more giant machine gun/grenade launcher carnage. I think the issue with the Norris' one-liner is in the delivery. He doesn't really sound very menacing when he says it; you could even say it's a bit camp. When telling someone that you're going to murder people by stomping on their windpipes you really need to sell it, which he's just unable to do. It's a line that could have been excellent elsewhere being wasted on a man whose crowning achievement is a terribly edited stare-down with a bear.
