What's It About? Three sorority pledges and their frat boy admirers must steal a trophy from the local bowling alley as part of an initiation. Unfortunately for them, this particular bowling trophy happens to be haunted by an evil Imp that grants twisted wishes. Does It Live Up To The Name? The simple fact that this movie actually makes sense of its tongue-twisting title means it deserves some credit, but the film itself is actually a great of the genre. Sorority Babes has the pacing and structure of a kid's horror movie, but enough gore and nudity to stand toe-to-toe with any exploitation film. The result is a lot like watching a child tell a dirty joke. It's fundamentally wrong, but you can't help but smirk a bit at the absurdity of it all. In many ways, this movie is actually something of a tribute to the entire notion of 80s B-horror movies.
