6. Leonardo DiCaprio Almost Played Anakin Skywalker
It's no secret that a long time ago in a galaxy most of wish had happened, Leonardo DiCaprio was in talks with George Lucas to play the role of Anakin. This would have meant just one, not two, actors holding the role from the very beginning, which would have worked out much better in the end. Because of Leo's age the growing relationship between him and Padme would have made a lot more sense as well as the following movies would have felt more... in conjunction with each other? In the years sense, UK website Shortlist interviewed the actor and revealed that all hearsay only amounted to a single meeting between Leo and Lucas where DiCaprio turned him down. Fans of Star Wars are disappointed/relieved at what might have been. Yet, perhaps DiCaprio made the wisest decision of his career. He couldn't have saved Episode I, but it could have ruined him.
