5. Han Solo Dies in Return of the Jedi
This might come as a shocker, but Harrison Ford supposedly does not like role of Han Solo. He's come out in interviews saying as much and has expressed numerous times that he wanted Solo to die in Return of the Jedi. The sad thing is that this almost happened. According to
Huffington Post writer, Mike Ryan, Solo was supposed to be rescued from Jabba only to die later on Endor, but Lucas changed his mind deciding an ending where everyone lived and was happy would make for a better hit. Ford has another opinion about why Solo lived. When asked why Lucas changed his mind about killing him off, Harrison shrugged and said, "George didn't think there was any future in dead Han toys." Yeah, no kidding dude. Now the latest rumor is that Ford's only request for coming back to Episode VII is that he dies. There will be many breaths held at the premiere to see if this is true and many post-watch postal rants and rages if it does. Makes us all wonder, "Why does Ford want our favorite hero dead so much?"
