10 Most Skippable Harry Potter Movie Scenes
1. Voldemort Possesses Harry - The Order Of The Phoenix
In the final moments of The Order of the Phoenix, Harry loses his godfather, chases Bellatrix through the Department of Mysteries, and witnesses an epic duel between Dumbledore and the Dark Lord.
Seconds after the fight, Voldemort possesses Harry, and we’re forced to endure the low point of what many consider to be the weakest film in the series.
The issue is the dialogue. Voldemort’s taunts aren’t exactly the best, but Harry’s lines are simply atrocious. In order to fight off the Dark Lord’s influence, he starts talking about the value of love and friendship, and it’s hard not to cringe:
‘You’re the weak one. And you’ll never know love or friendship. And I feel sorry for you.’
It would have been more impactful if Harry had kept his mouth shut, looked at his friends, and then slowly returned to normal. Given this scene doesn’t really add anything to the story, you'd be mad not to skip it.
