What if we could have an anthology Christmas horror narrated by William Shatner playing a drunk radio DJ? Thankfully, we don’t need to imagine what such a film would be like because it already exists - and it's as ridiculously fantastic as it sounds.

Helmed by directing trio Steve Hoban (veteran producer of Ginger Snaps), Grant Harvey, and Brett Sullivan, A Christmas Horror Story interweaves four distinct spooky tales together into one irresistible package. Taking place in the same small town on Christmas Eve, viewers are treated to four different stories, each relishing into a different style of horror.

The first follows a group of teens conduct a paranormal investigation of an abandoned school where a double murder took place, which sees them locked in the basement. Another centres around a fractured family when their young son disappears in the woods while looking for a Christmas tree. The third involves a beefy Krampus torment an ungrateful suburban family. And the final – and most brilliantly outlandish – sees Santa (George Buza) fight against a horde of zombie elves.

While this straight-to-VOD sleeper is far from being anything ground-breaking, it is nevertheless hugely entertaining.
