5. Kanan Jarrus Vs. The Grand Inquisitor - Rebels
The first season of Star Wars: Rebels was rounded out by this beautiful fight scene between Kanan and The Inquisitor.
With a number of aspects no doubt designed to evoke the truly epic duel between Darth Maul, Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon from The Phantom Menace, we see Kanan and his Padawan Ezra face the Inquisitor in Rebls season one finale, 'Fire Across the Galaxy'.
It's a beautifully put-together scene, and narratively speaking, one of the most poignant moments in Rebels.
Seeing Kanan suffer the apparent loss of Ezra, then using his Jedi training to overcome his emotional turmoil is a perfect example of exactly how to execute a moment that carries such emotional weight in a Jedi's life.
As well as being flawlessly designed, this scene marks the moment that Kanan fully steps into himself, meaning that it's easily one of Rebels' most significant moments.
The duel here proves that Rebels truly deserves to be a part of the conversation about the best Star Wars stories, and was able to lend the show one of those moments that perfectly evoke one of the franchise's most iconic moments.
