6. Kylo Ren Vs. Finn – The Force Awakens
The Force Awakens was able to not only breathe new life into the Star Wars franchise, but also give us an indication of exactly what we could hope to expect with Disney at the helm.
While the movie boasts a solid fight between Kylo Ren and strong-with-the-Force Rey, the best - and most overlooked - scene comes just moments before, when Finn takes up the saber in order to defend an unconscious Rey.
Yes, the concept is a little far-fetched, but watching the powerful but emotional Ren hammer away at the (then) non-Force user Finn as he desperately attempts to defend himself was by far the most tense moment in the movie.
The scene is truly gorgeous, too. Lit almost exclusively by the pair's lightsabers, taking place in a dark, snowy forest, the clashes of the sabers are intensely loud, which only serves to highlight the desperation of both Finn and Ren as hero Rey lies unconscious beside them.
It might only last a few short moments, but it's a scene that leaves a lasting impression.
