Why Youre Supposed to Like Him: Hes brash, smart-mouthed and self-confident throughout hes almost presented as sort of a Han Solo of vampire hunters. Youre sort of supposed to admire his gusto, how, even in the face of certain death, he wont stop busting peoples chops for a quick laugh, or to get a rise. Thats Hannibal; always joking, always horsing around.
Why Hes Annoying: For some reason, mainstream Hollywood seems to think that Ryan Reynolds is the next big thing in comedy. So when it was decided that the third Blade movie would take a more teen-friendly, comedic approach, Reynolds was seemingly the man for the job. The problem is, Ryan Reynolds is frat boy funny, meaning that when hes cast as a bad ass vampire hunter, the line between Blade and Van Wilder cant help but get confused. And lets be honest, theyre two streams that should never, ever have crossed.
