Why Youre Supposed to Like Him: Hes the chosen one; the leader of men against the unstoppable army of machines. I mean, if you cant get behind our one and only saviour, who can you get behind? Neo fights all sorts of battles for our sins, and admittedly, most of them are pretty awesome in scale, even if they are with thousands of copies of the same guy.
Why Hes Annoying: As the Matrix Trilogy trundles on, you cant help but sense an air of superiority emanating from Mr. I-Know-Kung-Fu; the more he settles into his role as The One against the machines, the less he seems to give a shit. Its like: hey, Im all powerful now. Spretty sweet. So its easy to think hes awesome, given the crazy feats hes able to accomplish, but the more the trilogy wears toward its end, the more Neo seems to act like the worlds most obnoxious IT consultant.
