Like Robert Z'dar, American actor Richard Kiel was also typecast as the menacing-looking villain in action movies, of which the James Bond films, in which he played henchman Jaws, are far and away his most well known. Standing over seven feet tall Kiel is an imposing presence, and the sight of him towering over Roger Moore in Moonraker is one which few kids who grew up with the Bond franchise are likely to have forgotten. Jaws's eventual conversion to good guy at the end of the film might have seemed a little daft, but at least it made it easier to sleep without having nightmares about being eaten alive. Richard Kiel's quirky appearance is on account of sufering from a hormonal condition known as acromegaly which results in gigantism. Believe it or not, despite being over seven feet tall Kiel suffers from vertigo - the scenes on the cable car in Moonraker had to be filmed with a stunt double.
