5. Marlene Marries Nitwit - A Minecraft Movie
A Minecraft Movie isn't a great film, but at least it brings enough idiosyncrasy to the table to not feel like a purely corporate exercise in brand reinforcement.
By far the film's strangest sequence is a subplot involving Vice Principal Marlene (Jennifer Coolidge), who accidentally hits Minecraft's iconic villager, Nitwit, with her car in the real world.
Marlene decides to make it up to Nitwit by taking him to dinner, where she talks about how boring her ex-husband was, and that seems to be the end of what's probably the funniest gag in the film.
But director Jared Hess returns to this silly subplot once more in the end credits, where Marlene's husband expresses outrage that she's found love with Nitwit.
Nitwit then reveals he can now speak human and is voiced by Matt Berry no less, and though they only met the night before, he nevertheless decides to propose to her - an offer which she gladly accepts.
It takes some good going to out-WTF the film's entire Chicken Jockey phenomenon, but gosh darn-it they did it with this hilariously unhinged romantic aside.
