4. The Killer Is Emily's Triplet - Another Simple Favor
A Simple Favor was a fun mystery thriller with a deeply amusing twist, that Emily (Blake Lively) didn't actually die.
Rather, Emily was one of three identical triplets, and while one died in the womb, Emily murdered the other, Faith, in order to stage her own demise.
This feels like one of those plot twists you can only ever get away with once in a franchise, right? Well not so, at least according to Paul Feig.
In the recent sequel Another Simple Favor, it's revealed that the shadowy killer is actually the other triplet, Charity, whose stillbirth was faked and has been raised in secret ever since.
It's so thunderously dumb that it almost comes all the way back around and works, but not quite.
Plus, Feig insists on playing out an icky subplot in which Charity sexually assaults her own sister, and naturally seeing Blake Lively perform both parts with the help of some digital trickery is just deeply strange.
