10 Movie Characters Who Became Total Caricatures In Sequels
1. Casey Jones
There are people out there that refuse to give the 1991 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie its due. These people are silly. Sure, it's a kids movie through and through, but that isn't bad thing at all. But by far the most egregious sin their sequel committed (which is saying something because they commit a lot) was the comical flanderization of Casey Jones.
At least you never stopped being afraid of Freddy Kreuger, and you always accepted that yes, this dude is bad news and should not be taken lightly. Meanwhile the two sequels to the 90's classic Turtles movie took Casey Jones from a down to earth badass grease monkey vigilante who just happened to be a bit on the dim side, to an utter clown by the third movie.
It's a wonder how movie three Casey even knows how to get out of bed each morning without tripping over a banana peel, falling down the stairs, landing on a cat's tail at the bottom, which causes the cat to freak out, jump away and land on the "start world war 3 right the hell NOW" button.
The other examples may have been bad, but there are no other characters so thoroughly and starkly caricatured as the film series went on.
