7. Father Karras (The Exorcist)
In one of the most well-respected horror films of all time, young Reagan becomes possessed by a demon. She is visited by priests, Fathers Merrin and Karras, who attempt to help the troubled young child. After a series of memorable events involving head spinning, pea soup and something unholy with a holy object, the demon is finally exorcised from the girl only to begin to go after Karras. Before more damage can be done, Karras jumps to his death and saving the world from assured destruction.
