10 Movie Fanbases That Are Extremely Irritating

4. Indie Film Hipsters

The FutureWhat They Think: "Any film that costs $200m is vapid nonsense, and anything shot with your big brother's hand-me-down digital camera is art at its purest form." I love a good indie film like anyone else, but these guys, like the art-film snobs, tend to sniff at anything that costs more than a few hundred pounds to make. They view blockbuster movies as singularly vapid projects, and they tend to only like films that are produced in a naturalistic setting, focus on acting and story over set-pieces, and are produced in a bare-bones fashion. They love to tell you they're watching a film, and when you ask what it's called, they'll say, "Oh, you haven't heard of it" with a sense of smug satisfaction.
