In the end, Sarah and Toby the baby get away from the evil Jareth before his deadline that would turn the latter into a goblin forever. Sarah realises that Toby is, in fact, more important to her than her teddy bear and that she's not too grown up for her toys/friends.

Jareth is vanquished and flies away into the night in his owl form.

But Wait...

Not only is Jareth still free to continue kidnapping babies from under the not at all watchful eye of selfish babysitters who prefer their teddy bears to their infant siblings, but there are already lots of other lost children still in the Labyrinth.

Every one of Jareth's goblin army were once children taken there by the Goblin King and transformed, meaning there are probably hundreds of pairs of parents in the real world who have no idea where their children went. It's an unimaginable tragedy that just seems to get swept under the rug because the goblins appear to be happy enough.
