10 Movie Heroes That Really Suck At Saving People

3. Optimus Prime Doesn't Care About Human People - Transformers Dark Of The Moon (2011)

Transformers Dark Of The Moon 239Paramount PicturesThe Transformers franchise is famous for its over-the-top action. Every time the Autobots face off against the evil Decepticons, they cut a swathe of destruction that causes mind-boggling destruction and results in thousands of civilian casualties. Each instalment ups the stakes from the previous entry and the concluding chapter of the first trilogy, Dark of the Moon, takes the city-destroying mayhem to ridiculous heights. This time, the bots butt heads in the middle of Chicago. Before the dust settles, the great city lies in ruins and thousands of innocent people are dead. A big part of the blame for the Decepticons€™ destruction of Chicago can put on the shoulders of the ostensible good guy, Optimus Prime. Before the battle begins, Prime has the Autobots fake their death in a Decepticon ambush to prove to humanity that the Decepticons aren€™t trustworthy. Because of this gambit, the Autobots are missing in action when the carnage starts, which gives the Decepticons ample time to wreak havoc with impunity. For a guy who likes to pontificate ad nauseam about how humanity is worth protecting, Prime seems more than willing to let a bunch of innocent people get caught up in the crossfire to prove his point.
