Before agreeing to appear in the DCEU as Diana Prince in the Man of Steel sequel, Gal Gadot had only really caught the eye as part of the ever-growing ensemble in the increasingly barmy Fast & Furious series. So, news of her being green-lit as the new Wonder Woman was always bound to rub some sensitive souls up the wrong way.

Claims that the star was "too skinny", among other less savoury statements about her physicality, made their way to Gadot before she even set foot on screen as the iconic Amazon, to which she responded by stating:

"When I was younger I would take criticism really hard. But now it mostly amused me. The true Amazons had one boob so it won’t bother them in their archery. So it’s not going to be like real Amazons. We always try to make everyone happy but we can’t."

However, once Gadot did finally burst onto the scene in the aforementioned Snyder flick, all talk of the star not being right for the part was rightfully extinguished.
