8. Gremlins

A continuation of the Gremlins movie series seems to have been in the works for a long old time, but we're finally getting more of cinema's most famous murderous critters thanks to Warner Bros' new streaming service.

Thanks to Variety, we now know that the studio plan to expand on the story of Gizmo and his quirky species with an animated series set before the events of the original. They say that it will be a period piece following Mr. Wing (played in the first film by Keye Luke) as a young man on adventures with Gizmo.

It will be written by Tze Chun - who wrote and directed 2013’s Cold Comes the Night with Bryan Cranston and worked in TV on Gotham and Once Upon a Time and co-founded comic book publisher TKO Studios. As long as he captures the same old magic blend of comedy, horror and Amblin charm, we're in for a treat.
