10 Movie Roles That Made Great Actors Look Like They'd Gone Insane

8. Al Pacino - Jack and Jill (2011)

al-pacino-jack-and-jill Al Pacino has been verging on self-parody for years. It's genuinely hard to watch this guy acting without feeling like there's something ironic about it. As a result, Mr. Pacino has turned out in all kinds of weird performances over the last decade or so, sometimes riffing on his persona, sometimes just being Al Pacino. Still, when it first came to light that one of Hollywood's elite was going to be playing himself in an Adam Sandler movie... well, slap my face and call me Sally. Jack and Jill is probably the worst Adam Sandler movie ever made, or at least it would have been had he not also made That's My Boy,Just Go With It, and Grown Ups 2. It's impossible to keep a tab on the badness anymore. Anyway, for some reason Al Pacino agreed that it was a good idea for him to star in Jack and Jill, so he did, playing a heightened version of himself (or at least I hope it's heightened). Thing is, he's quite good, but the point is... how did he wind up in this movie? What in God's name has to happen so that something like this can legally occur?
