10 Movie Sequels You Didn't Know Were Coming In 2020

6. Bad Boys For Life

Quiet Place
Columbia Pictures

IT'S. FINALLY. HAPPENING.

The on-again-off-again Bad Boys threequel has been a regular feature in WhatCulture's run-downs of upcoming sequels, but now, the damn thing is actually shooting, so barring a zombie apocalypse (or other world-ending event), it should hit cinemas in early 2020.

Both Will Smith and Martin Lawrence will return to their famous roles, with supporting players like Joe Pantoliano, Alexander Ludwig, Vanessa Hudgens and Charles Melton surrounding them. The latter three actors will play a specialized police force that collides with the Bad Boys, while a new threat emerges in Miami - which, presumably, both parties will defeat by joining forces.

Series producer Jerry Bruckheimer is back behind-the-scenes, meaning that Bad Boys For Life should have the same over-the-top action and brash humour the first two did. A third Bad Boys movie has been a long time coming and Smith/Lawrence are extremely passionate about the material, so fans of the franchise should be in for a real treat with this one.

Danny has been with WhatCulture for almost nine years, and is currently Doctor Who Editor and WhoCulture Channel Manager, overseeing all of WhatCulture's Whoniverse coverage. He has been writing and video editing for 10+ years, and first got a taste for content creation after making his own Doctor Who trailers and uploading them to YouTube (they're admittedly a bit rusty by today's standards). If you need someone to recite every Doctor Who episode in order or to tell you about the making of 1988's Remembrance of the Daleks, Danny is the person to ask.
