10 Movie Spoilers For 2018 That We Already Know

4. Bumblebee - Familiar Faces

Let's all be honest, the Transformers franchise is a steaming pile of garbage that Michael Bay has been hording to himself for the past decade, and it is a miracle that we're finally going to be getting a different director's take on the material.

This spin-off is set in the '80s, and offers a look at what has been described as a "smaller'" Transformers film. After the fifth film failed (in relative terms at least) domestically, the studio's primary PR tactic has been to stress just how different this film will be.

However, seemingly-innocuous comments from franchise producer, Lorenzo di Bonaventura, managed to give away some rather crucial details that go a long way towards derailing that whole 'different' sentiment.

“Bumblebee’s a very loving character. He’s got a lot of heart, so of course the idyllic life of these two is interrupted by the evil Decepticons. And how are they going to be able to deal with the problem without Optimus and without everybody else?”

So once again, for the sixth time, Decepticons will be the antagonizing force for our heroes. Not only is this just more of the same, it raises so many continuity-related questions in terms of how the Decepticons could even be here twenty years before the events of the first film, that it could make one's head explode.
